These Terms and Conditions, including any revised terms we may post from time to time, state the Terms and Conditions under which we provide you with various services on www.oceangrandmaldives.com website which is fully owned and operated by Ocean Grand. These Terms (which also incorporate our Privacy Policy) are legally binding between you and Ocean Grand and govern your use of this Websites as well as all services including accommodation, transportation and any activities in your Hotel stay described on our Website.

BY ACCESSING, BROWSING, AND / OR USING OUR WEBSITE AND / OR SERVICES ON THE WEBSITE AND / OR BY MAKING A CONFIRMED RESERVATION ON OUR WEBSITE, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE SAME TERMS AND CONDITIONS INCLUDING ALL POLICIES AND GUIDELINES INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE, WHILST USING OUR WEBSITE,OR SERVICES DURING YOUR STAY. If you do not agree to any of these Terms and Conditions please refrain from using the website. Ocean Grand reserve the right, at sole discretion, to modify, add, or remove portions of the terms of this Agreement at any time without any notice. Unless otherwise indicated, such changes will become effective immediately upon posting of the changes to the website. Hence, you are advised to periodically check for any such changes and retains a copy these website terms & conditions.

 

Eligibility

The Website is available only to individuals and entities that can form legally binding contracts under applicable laws. Without limiting the foregoing, the Website and the services offered by the Website are not available to minors. If you do not qualify, please refrain from using the Website. You also warrant that you are legally authorized to make the travel reservations and / or purchases for either yourself or for another person for whom you are authorized to act. You may only use this Website to make legitimate reservations or purchases and shall not use this Website for any other purposes, including without limitation, to make any speculative, false or fraudulent reservations, or any reservation in anticipation of demand. You understand and agree that overuse or abuse of the reservation facilities of this Website may result in you being denied access to such facilities and legal proceedings being undertaken towards you. As a condition of your Use of the Website


* You must be at least 18 years of age.

* You must own the legal authority and capacity to create a compulsory legal obligation, including to be bound by the Terms & Conditions of this Website.

* Your Use of the Website must not violate any law, statute, ordinance, rule or regulation. You hereby represent and permit that you satisfy all of the foregoing conditions. If you do not satisfy all of the foregoing conditions, you are not authorized to use this Website and you are advised to immediately stop further usage of the Website. 

 

Pricing & Confirmation

All accommodation room rates & other package rates are in US Dollars subjected to all applicable taxes including 12%TGST on the booking.  All reservations can only be guaranteed by a valid Credit Card at the time of booking. Failure to carry out a successful payment transaction for the booking will result in automatic cancellation of the reservation or you cannot proceed further in confirming the booking. Your Credit Card will be charged upon confirmation of your booking and in the event of a cancellation, all charges under the cancellation policy will be applied. When you make a payment or transaction to settle your booking, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your payment.

 

Payment

Payment through Website is only accepted by Credit Cards. If you choose to pay by Credit Card to get instant confirmation, you will be redirected to the Bank of Maldives Payment Gateway where you will be required to enter your Credit Card details. You will be redirected back to our Website once the payment is processed with the confirmation of purchased by email.

When you make a payment, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your payment. Please retain the copy of the payment receipt. Any payment made is non-refundable within the cancellation period and hence, you are requested to take extreme care to check carefully before committing to make the payment.

 

Standard Time of Hotel Check-In & Check –Out

Check-in time:14:00 hrs (Male’ Local  time)

Check-out time:12:00 hrs (Male’ Local  time)

Option for Early Check-in and late Check-out upon availability and at the sole discretion of the Hotel

 

Child Policy

Children above 11 years at the time of Hotel Check-in - will be considered as Adults (subject to change at the sole discretion of Hotel)

Children between 2 to 11 years at the time of Hotel Check-in - 50% off on all inclusive (subject to change at the sole discretion of Hotel)

Children under 2 years at the time of Hotel Check-in - stay free on existing bedding (subject to change at the sole discretion of Hotel)

 

Airport transfers

Transfer to Ocean Grand from Male’ International Airport is about 7 Km and it takes approximately 10 to 12 minutes by land Vehicle. The Hotel must receive full flight details at least 2 days prior to the arrival in order to guarantee the pickup / drop of service on time. Failure to do so may result in additional waiting time at the Airport.

 

Cancellation Policy

If Cancellation Notice is received fewer than 10 days prior to the expected Arrival Date, the Guest or the Booking Party is obliged to cover 100% of the Room Charge for the entirety of the booking period. Any material changes requested within the Cancellation Period are subject to approval by Ocean Grand.

 

Early Departures

Early Departures or Cancellations after Check-in are 100% chargeable up to the total amount for the confirmed booking period.

 

No Shows

In the event of a no-show, a charge equal to the total amount for the confirmed booking period will be applicable. All fees and penalties are inclusive of all applicable taxes.

 

Credit card refunds

All refunds required in the event of cancellations, amendments or early check-out will be credited to your Card within 20 business days where applicable only. However, it is at the sole discretion of the Hotel to come to the conclusion for any refund.

 

You’re Privacy

Ocean Grand is entirely committed to protecting the privacy of our Website Visitors and Customers. We fully appreciate and respect the importance of privacy on the Internet. We will not disclose information about our Customers to third parties unless obliged through Government / State Bodies or through Courts of Law in the Maldives.

 

Information we collect, how we collect it and its uses

 At every touch point or guest interaction, and in conducting every aspect of our business, we may collect personal information. Your personal information and non-personal information may be shared for any purpose among Ocean Grand and among its Service Providers and Contractors for limited purposes only, including completing Customer Reservations; offering products and services in connection with our Website; communicating to Customers; providing Customer Service; enhancing and improving Customers' online experience; enabling access to our partners' Websites; providing a personalized online experience; and concluding payment transactions. Otherwise, except for the purposes defined in this Privacy Policy, we shall not share your personal information with any other third parties unless we have your authorization. By accessing our Website, you are agreeing to your acceptance of such use of your personal information.

When using our Website, you may be requested to voluntarily provide certain Personal Information. You can use our Website without making an Account, but you may want to create an Account if you want to take benefit of certain time redeemable features. Also, upon your registration at Check-in, we may request that you provide us certain information in our Guest Cards or similar Registration Information. When you place a Reservation or register at Check-in, we may request your Name, Email Address, Mailing Address, and Phone Number. Once a transaction is completed successfully our server or website will not store any card information provided during the transaction. We may also ask for Personal Information when you contact our Reservations Department or other Customer Service Departments. This will allow us to assist you better and to protect your confidentiality by verifying your identity.

 

Protecting Personal Information

We will take reasonable measures to: (i) protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, revelation, modification or obliteration, and (ii) retain Personal Information accurate and up-to-date as appropriate. We also seek to require our Affiliates / Associates and Service Providers with whom we share Personal Information to work out reasonable efforts to uphold the confidentiality of Personal Information about you. Also, our website is SSL secured to maintain a secure transfer environment for the information passed. For online transactions, we use reasonable technology to protect the Personal Information that you transmit to us via our Website. Unfortunately, no security system or system of transmitting data over the Internet can be guaranteed absolutely to be entirely secure. Hence, for your own confidentiality, we encourage you not to include / share your sensitive Personal Information or Credit Card Numbers via email. We will not contact you by text messaging or email to ask for your Credit Card details.

 

Protecting & verifying your security

We may use Personal Information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti-fraud checks. Privacy Policy. Personal Information that you provide may be disclosed to a Credit Reference or Fraud Prevention Agency, which may keep a record of that information. This is done only to confirm your identity - a Credit Check is not performed and your Credit Rating will be unaffected.
